I've just accepted an offer with Google. I'm both excited and scared; this is going to be different than places I've worked in before. And, of course, it's full time work after several years of part time and six months off. But it's going to be interesting.

Heee. You understand :-}. Thanks for both thoughts. And indeed, sailing. Are you thinking MIT, or popping over to the waterfront? I may need to look back into access of alumni to the MIT boathouse.

I'm really, really torn about this whole "full time day job" thing, for sure!

The MIT docks are a very short walk. These days you need to buy into a full athletics membership to sail, though, which is quite steep--$410 for six months worth.

On the other hand, I expect to have access, and I am... entirely suggestible!

Chuckle. I'll need to work on my hypnosis skills. "You are going sailing ... " :-}

I'm probably going to want some time to settle into the job and figure out how my system adapts to full-time work before taking off time in the middle of the day. But I'd love to go sailing later this spring or this summer.
